Sibling Preparation
1719 East 19th Avenue Denver, CO 80218

This class is designed for children ages 1 1/2 to 5 1/2 years old to attend with their parents. Children learn about how to be a great big brother and sister, basic newborn appearance, behaviors, newborn care and how to interact with safety and fun. Children will also learn about some of the different emotions that are common when a new baby joins the family. Information is also given to parents about current resources and things to think about when adding to your family.

Due to the most recent flu restrictions that the hospital is under we are unable to take any children on a tour of the delivery floor. This is to insure our patients receive the best care possible and to limit the exposure to illness.

This class will be held in the Colorado Room North.

Both parents/caregivers may attend with their child.

Notification of cancellation must be received at least 7 days (not including the class date) prior to the start date of the class. If cancellation or change is requested less than 7 days (not including the class date) prior, no refund will be given. ( Exceptions can be made due to early delivery of their baby or mother being in the hospital.)
