Dilsher M Nawaz, MDCardiology
Dilsher Nawaz, MD has practiced cardiology in the Denver Metro area for over the last fifteen years. He graduated from the leading medical school in Egypt and has resided in the United States for the past twenty-five years. He received his cardiology training at the University of Colorado, as well as additional specialty training in interventional cardiology, including peripheral interventions, at the Scripps Clinic in California and the Arizona Heart Institute. His expertise lies in the area of coronary and peripheral interventions and the treatment of heart failure.
He is committed to providing cardiology services to underserved communities and has developed a robust cardiology rural outreach program over the last fifteen years in the San Luis Valley in Southern Colorado. He pioneered an international referral program in Denver treating hundreds of international patients every year including many world leaders and dignitaries.
He also founded Medlink International, in collaboration with Columbia/Health ONE, which created US standard hospital facilities in developing countries, bringing new innovative ideas to the delivery of health care in those countries.
Dr. Nawaz is a community activist involved in many community service projects in the Denver Metro area and has served on the board of the Metro Denver chapter of the American Heart Association.
Dr. Nawaz is married and has three daughters. He is a world traveler fluent in many languages.
